About Kutná Hora:
Kutná Hora is a real gem retained the character of a medieval town. In the second half of the 13th century the rich deposits of silver were discovered here and Kutná Hora became the most important town after Prague soon. This is an excellent opportunity to visit the „middle-aged town“ with real jewels of architecture of this historic period. Besides Prague just here the biggest concentration of historical monuments in Central Bohemia is situated. Kutná Hora has preserved its medieval town character to date and is rightfully included on the UNESCO list of the most important cultural heritage of the Czech Republic.
During this guided walking tour you will admire the historical center of this “Royal Mining Town “ like f.e. the outstanding example of a gothic architecture St. Barbara Cathedral, one of the most beautiful religious buildings in Europe, Jesuit college, the Castle - Silver Museum, stone fountain - the most beautiful monument of late Gothic domestic architecture, Church of St. John of Nepomuk and Plague Column, the oldest parish church in Kutná Hora - Church of St. James, the former Royal Mint – Italian court, Church of the Mother of God – “ The Mysterious Face of Kutná Hora".
You will have a rest and lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, the bus will take you back to Prague O2 arena where the tour ends.
